Red Mountain’s Academic Decathlon has always been a fan of pushing the envelope. Their theme for the 2014 competition included post modernism in art, so they decided to feature Duchamp’s Fountain sculpture, in the name of intellectual humor. The task was mine to recreate the famous sculpture in a 2 dimensional form that was simple enough that we could screen print it onto a t-shirt. This is an example both of my command of the pen tool in adobe illustrator and my ability to create a likeness that pleased both the client and the school’s administrators.
